After studying politics at Nottingham University where he played a number of amateur roles with the New Theatre, Shai was awarded the Dance and Drama award (DaDa) to train at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London. Credits include the roles of Josh, Francis, Nat and Miles in Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens (Chelsea Theatre, 2006).
Having graduated in September 2006, Shai is thrilled to be making his professional debut as Cmdr Bill Harbison in South Pacific.
